Outline from a brain dump
Paste your scattered thoughts. Get a structure, the missing pieces, and the first sentence.
Articles, talks, proposals, anything where you have material but no shape.outlinestructurewriting
Turn my brain dump into an outline. Everything I have (notes, fragments, quotes, half-ideas, in any order): <paste> What I'm writing: <article / talk / proposal / post> for <audience> What I want the reader to think or do at the end: <one line> Length: <words or minutes> Produce: 1. The one sentence this piece is really about. If my material points to two different pieces, say so. 2. An outline: sections with working titles, and under each the fragments from my dump that belong there (quote them). Order for the reader, not for how I thought of them. 3. What's missing: the points the outline needs that my dump doesn't have yet: evidence, an example, a counter-view, a definition. 4. What to cut: fragments that don't serve the one sentence, with a line on why. 5. The opening: 3 options for the first sentence, none of them a question or a dictionary definition. 6. The close: what the last paragraph must do, in one line. Use my words. Don't write the piece; give me the shape and the gaps.
Replace every <placeholder> with your own details before you send it.
How to use it
- 1Dump everything, including half-thoughts. Order and quality are the model's job here.
- 2The 'what's missing' list is a research plan. Do it before you write.
- 3Ask for two different structures if the first one feels forced.
