Write 3 versions, each under 70 words:
1. With the reason: honest, brief, no over-explaining.
2. Without the reason: warm and final, no justification.
3. With an alternative: the no, then what I can do instead.

Rules: the word "no" or "can't" appears in the first two sentences. No "unfortunately", no "I wish I could", no apology longer than three words. If I said the door is open, one specific sentence about when or how. If I said it's closed, nothing that invites a follow-up.

Then tell me which version fits my relationship answer, in one line.

How to use it

1Decide first whether you want to keep the door open. The model writes differently for each.
2You don't owe a reason. Ask for the no-reason version if the reason would be awkward.
3Send it the same day. A delayed no is worse than a fast one.
