Meeting prep brief in five minutes
Walk in knowing what you want, what they want, and what you'll say if it goes sideways.
Client meetings, negotiations, investor chats, difficult internal conversations.meetingsnegotiationpreparation
Prepare me for a meeting. Keep the whole brief under 300 words. Meeting: <who, when, how long, in person or online> Context: <paste the email thread, agenda or background> What I want to leave with: <your goal, concretely> What I think they want: <your best guess> What I'm worried about: <the awkward part> Write: 1. My goal, in one sentence I could say out loud. 2. Their likely goals and pressures, 3 bullets, based only on the context I gave. 3. The 3 questions I should ask early. 4. What I should NOT bring up in this meeting, and why. 5. "If they say…" — the 3 most likely difficult moments, each with a calm one-sentence response. 6. My walk-away line: what I say if we cannot agree today. 7. The one thing to write down when it ends. No motivational language. Plain, practical, specific to what I pasted.
Replace every <placeholder> with your own details before you send it.
How to use it
- 1Paste the email thread or the agenda. Context beats cleverness.
- 2Ask for the 'if they say X' section to be longer if the meeting is high stakes.
- 3Read the brief once, then close it. It works best as preparation, not as a script.
