Learn a practical skill in 30 days of small projects

Not a course. A sequence of tiny things to make, each one slightly harder.

Skills you learn by doing: a tool, a language, a craft, a sport technique.skillsprojectspractice

Design a 30-day plan to learn a practical skill by making things, not by consuming content.

The skill: <what you want to be able to do>
What "I can do it" looks like on day 30: <a concrete thing you'll make or do>
Where I start: <complete beginner / some exposure / I can do X but not Y>
Time per day: <minutes, honestly>
Tools I have access to: <list>

Produce:
1. Days 1–30, each with: a tiny project (something I make or do that produces a visible result in the time I have), the one concept it teaches, and what "done" looks like. Difficulty rises gently; every 5th day consolidates.
2. For each week: the one thing I'm likely to get stuck on and where to look.
3. Three checkpoints (day 10, 20, 30) with a small test I can grade myself on.
4. The catch-up rule for missed days, and the "I'm bored" rule for days that feel too easy.
5. What to do on day 31 to keep the skill alive.

Do not assign videos or reading as a day's task. Reading can support a project, never replace it.

Replace every <placeholder> with your own details before you send it.

How to use it

  1. 1Say how much time per day you truly have. 20 focused minutes daily beats a Sunday marathon.
  2. 2Each day's project should produce something you can show. Ask for that if it drifts into reading.
  3. 3Skip days happen. Ask for the catch-up rule up front.
