Four follow-ups that add something each time
Stay in the inbox without 'just checking in'.
After a proposal, a call or a cold email that got no reply.follow-upemailoutreach
Write a follow-up sequence for someone who has not replied. Context: <what I sent or discussed, and when> Who they are: <role, what they care about> What I offered: <one sentence> Useful things I can share (articles, examples, a short video, a template): <list what you actually have> Total window: <e.g. 3 weeks> Write 4 follow-ups with suggested day gaps. Each one: - Under 60 words - Adds something new: a resource from my list, a relevant example, a different angle on their problem, or a smaller ask - Never says "just checking in", "bumping this", or "did you see my last email" - Has one clear ask, and makes "not now" easy to say Follow-up 4 closes the loop politely: I'll stop here, here's how to reach me if it becomes relevant. After the four, write one line I can send if they reply "not now" so the door stays open.
Replace every <placeholder> with your own details before you send it.
How to use it
- 1Each follow-up must give something: a resource, an example, a new angle. The model will enforce this if you let it.
- 2Set the dates in your calendar the day you send the first email.
- 3The last one really is the last one. Close the loop and mean it.
