Weekly meal plan you'll actually cook
Seven dinners, one shopping list, and leftovers that turn into lunches.
Busy weeks, tight budgets, or anyone tired of deciding at 7 pm.foodplanningroutine
Plan my meals for the week. You are a practical home cook, not a chef. How many people: <adults, kids> Nights I'll actually cook: <number>, and nights that need to be under 25 minutes: <which> Dietary needs and dislikes: <list> Budget for the week, roughly: <amount, currency> What's already in my kitchen: <staples, leftovers> Equipment and skill: <e.g. one pan, an oven, beginner> Cuisines we enjoy: <list> Produce: 1. Dinners for the nights I cook: name, 2-line method, time, and which night it fits (quick nights get quick meals). Two of them should make enough for lunch the next day. 2. A shopping list grouped by store section, quantities included, with what I already have removed. 3. One "double it" suggestion: the meal to cook twice and freeze. 4. Rough cost per meal and total against my budget, marked as estimates. 5. A backup plan for the night everything goes wrong: one 10-minute meal from the staples. 6. What to prep on Sunday in 30 minutes to make the week easier. Keep it simple. No ingredient I'd have to visit a second shop for.
Replace every <placeholder> with your own details before you send it.
How to use it
- 1Say how many nights you'll really cook. A plan for seven when you'll cook four is a plan for waste.
- 2Ask for the shopping list grouped by store section. It halves the time in the shop.
- 3Repeat the winners next week. Novelty is not the goal.
